In this work tin oxide (SnO2) thin films have been prepared by spray pyrolysis technique and the effect of aluminium and zinc doping on structural, optical and morphological properties of the SnO2 thin films was studied. The undoped and Al and Zn co-doped SnO2 thin films were prepared on glass substrates at Ts = 400 °C. Powder X- ray diffraction pattern revealed the presence of tetragonal crystal structure. The average grain domain size was estimated using Debye- Scherrer’s method and it was found to be 39 nm for undoped 31 nm for co-doped SnO2 thin films. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images emphasized the smooth, crack free and dense formation of thin films. EDAX spectra showed the presence of desired elements only. The prepared thin films showed a maximum transparency around 80%. The estimated bandgap energy of the prepared thin films is in the range of 3.3 to 3.5 eV.
